Day 1 | Leshan Giant Buddha & Local Cultural Exploration

Depart from Chengdu in the morning and travel comfortably to Leshan.

The highlight of the day is the magnificent Leshan Giant Buddha, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the largest stone Buddha statue in the world. Carved into a cliff face over 1,200 years ago during the Tang Dynasty, the Buddha stands 71 meters tall at the confluence of three rivers and remains one of China's most impressive cultural and engineering achievements.

After visiting the Buddha, continue to explore the historic streets of Leshan Old Town through a relaxed city walk.
